Under the direction of the Director, the Clinical Education Coordinator is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating staff development and educational activities for the department. Serves as a clinical resource and role model, promoting an environment that encourages professional growth and quality patient care. I. Major Responsibilities: 1. Support clinical proficiency and professional development of staff through orientation and ongoing education. 2. Design and deliver educational offerings using adult learning principles and varied teaching methodologies. 3. Support staff development and departmental goals, including performance evaluations and preceptor development. 4. Contribute to departmental and hospital-wide performance improvement initiatives, including policy development and communication. 5. Serve as a role model and clinical expert, maintaining competency and promoting evidence-based practice. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: 1. BS/BSN 2. Current RN license in Massachusetts 3. Current CPR certification Preferred (Department-Specific): • ACLS (ED) • PALS (ED) • Fetal Monitoring Certificate (OB) • NRP Certification (OB) • Certification in a related specialty Experience/Skills: Required: 1. Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in the department specialty Preferred: 1.
