Position Title: Junior Human Resources Specialist Work Location: Remote Job Type: Full-time, Contract Summary C² Technologies seeks a Junior Human Resources Specialist to work closely with and under the supervision of senior HR specialists to support federal retirement and benefits services for a government client. This position is ideal for early-career HR professionals eager to learn and grow while contributing to mission-critical HR operations. Responsibilities • Review and process employee health and life insurance enrollment requests (FEHB, FEGLI). • Assist with retirement application preparation, service credit documentation, and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) inquiries. • Support senior HR specialists in counseling employees on benefits eligibility and options (CSRS, FERS, TSP). • Maintain accurate HR records, case files, and tracking systems to ensure timely service delivery. • Respond to employee inquiries by providing clear, accurate information or routing to senior staff as appropriate. • Contribute to HR projects and training efforts under the guidance of senior HR specialists. • Assist in updating procedures and resources to improve benefits processing and employee support. Requirements Education Requirement • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience Requirement • Up to 3 years of HR or administrative experience, preferably with federal benefits or retirement programs. Experience Requirement – Tools and Software • Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, or similar systems). • Familiarity with federal benefits systems is a plus. Experience Requirement – Soft Skills • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent oral and written communication abilities with a customer-service mindset. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and learn complex HR policies quickly. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Additional Requirements • Due to contractual requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration. • Employment is contingent upon the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS background investigation/security clearance.
