Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle issues while maintaining a safe and clean shop environment and documenting all work performed.
Must have own tools, valid driver's license, good mechanical ability, willingness to learn, and ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs following safety protocols.
About the Role: The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, from 8am - 5pm The Mechanic role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Chairvan and Minivan passenger vehicles that our community is reliant on. Minimum Qualifications: • Must have own Tools • Must have a valid driver's license • Must have good mechanical ability and willingness to learn to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair problems as they arise. • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating machinery. • Repair machinery and components using technical manuals and diagnostic equipment. • Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulations. • Keep machinery and equipment in efficient and safe working conditions. Responsibilities: • Properly document all information about vehicles during the intake process • Ensure all vehicles are safely transported and positioned on all lift equipment • Maintain a personal tool set with everything needed for diagnostics and repair • Diagnosing all current issues with vehicles • Keep detailed records of all parts, fluids and time for each project • Maintain a clean and safe shop environment • Must have good mechanical ability and willingness to learn to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair problems as they arise • Skilled in the operation of shop machinery (Tire Machine, A/C, etc.) • The ability to work overhead and bent over for long periods of time Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Vision insurance Dental insurance Life insurance Disability insurance Paid holidays Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm
