Role Description The Executive Director Foundation is a contract role responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to BYOU Impact Foundation. This hybrid position is based in the Amsterdam Area, with a combination of on-site presence and the flexibility to work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing fundraising initiatives, building and maintaining relationships with donors and partners, and guiding planned and annual giving programs. The Executive Director Foundation will manage budgeting and financial stewardship, ensure effective program delivery, and support the development of community-led healing initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with the board, staff, and volunteers, reporting on impact and outcomes, and representing the foundation in public engagements and partner meetings. Qualifications • Strong fundraising and philanthropy experience, including Planned Giving and Philanthropy, with a demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain donor relationships. • Proficiency in Annual Giving and Stewardship, ensuring responsible donor care, transparent communication, and effective impact reporting. • Solid Budgeting skills, with experience in financial planning, resource allocation, and overseeing foundation finances. • Proven leadership experience in nonprofit, foundation, or social impact organizations, preferably within mental health, wellness, or community-focused sectors. • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse communities and partners. • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work effectively in a hybrid environment. • Experience working in or with organizations in the Amsterdam Area or broader European context is an advantage. • Relevant academic background in nonprofit management, social sciences, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
