Position Overview The Account Manager is the primary relationship leader for a portfolio of clients, responsible for ensuring every partnership feels strategic, responsive, and results-driven. You’ll guide clients through our Blueprint process, maintain ongoing alignment, and identify opportunities for growth within your book of business. As the client-facing representative, the Account Manager leads all monthly and quarterly client meetings to review data, discuss performance, and make strategic recommendations. This role requires comfort interpreting marketing and web analytics to guide decisions and ensure each client’s goals are met with measurable outcomes You’ll work closely with a Project Manager (Team Operations Manager), Technical Manager, and Creative/Marketing Manager to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives on communication, loves solving problems, and takes pride in seeing clients win. Key Responsibilities & Performance Outcomes Client Relationship Management Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, leading communication and strategy. Collaborate with internal managers to ensure quality, timelines, and alignment with goals. Goal: Maintain 95%+ client satisfaction through proactive engagement and trust-building. Manage client initiatives that extend beyond Blueprints, including video production, website design and development, and other ongoing marketing projects. Revenue Growth Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities aligned with client objectives. Support renewals and proposals with insights that drive value and results. Goal: Achieve monthly upsell targets and grow total account revenue. Blueprint Delivery Lead onboarding and ensure Blueprints are completed within 2 weeks. Facilitate strategic sessions to clarify goals and define measurable outcomes. Coordinate with project and technical managers to ensure smooth handoffs and execution. Goal: Deliver all Blueprints on time and strategically aligned to client success. Strategic Analysis & Preparation Review and interpret campaign data, web analytics, and performance reports ahead of client meetings. Identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights to guide internal team discussions and client strategy. Present insights and next-step recommendations in a clear, engaging way that inspires client confidence and forward momentum. Client Retention Maintain proactive communication and demonstrate ongoing value. Conduct quarterly reviews to highlight wins and plan next steps. Goal: Maintain 90%+ client retention across your portfolio. What We’re Looking For Relational and empathetic: You genuinely care about clients and build trust through communication. Qualifications We’re looking for someone who can deliver results, whether you’ve worked in a marketing agency or gained similar experience managing clients, leading projects, or driving growth in another fast-paced environment. 3+ years of experience in account management, client strategy, marketing, or a related role, or equivalent experience managing client relationships and outcomes. Strong understanding of marketing strategy, web development, or digital campaigns, or the ability to quickly learn and apply these concepts strategically. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex ideas and lead productive conversations. Experience with CRM or project management tools such as HubSpot or ClickUp, or a proven ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects on track in an agency setting or a similarly fast-paced, client-focused environment. Demonstrated success building trust with clients, earning confidence, and achieving measurable results, regardless of industry background. What Success Looks Like Clients feel supported, informed, and confident in their partnership with Business Builders. Blueprints and projects are delivered on time and aligned with measurable goals. Upsells and renewals occur naturally through trust and demonstrated value. Retention and satisfaction metrics remain consistently high. • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): Full-time employees start with 2 weeks (up to 80 hours) of paid vacation after 90 days, increasing to 3 weeks after 2 years, and 4 weeks after 5 years of employment. • Comprehensive Paid Holidays: We observe major national holidays, and we typically take off the days between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Company conferences, outings, or trips (including "workcations") are considered company time and do not count toward PTO. • Hybrid Work Flexibility: All full-time team members are expected to work in the office at least three full days per week, promoting both team presence and flexibility. • Financial Planning: Access to a 401K plan through Guideline.com is provided. Compensation is reviewed annually, factoring in alignment with core values, professional growth, and company profitability. • Mission Trip Support: We offer a unique benefit to support community involvement: financial assistance (up to $1,000 for the first trip) and 2 extra days of Paid Time Off for approved mission trips.
