About Bush & Bush Law Group: We are a growing law firm with a strong focus on Texas litigation and federal matters across multiple jurisdictions. Our practice thrives on excellence, precision, and innovation in legal writing and strategy. We are seeking an experienced and exceptional Brief Writer to lead the drafting and motion practice for our firm while mentoring a team of legal assistants in advanced AI-assisted legal drafting. Key Responsibilities: Draft and Respond to all firm motions, appeals, petitions, and federal complaints across various jurisdictions. Prepare high-quality briefs for both state and federal court proceedings with a deep understanding of procedural and substantive law. Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategy, ensuring all filings are precise, persuasive, and timely. Train and supervise a team of 10 legal assistants to: Draft petitions, motions, and responses using ChatGPT, Grok, and Lexis AI. Develop consistency and efficiency in legal writing. Achieve measurable proficiency within 120 days. Ensure compliance with Texas procedural rules, as well as federal rules of civil and appellate procedure. Maintain the firm’s high standards of professionalism, clarity, and accuracy in all written work. Qualifications: JD degree required; active bar license in Texas strongly preferred. 5+ years of proven experience in legal brief writing and motion practice (state and federal). Demonstrated success drafting appeals, petitions, and federal complaints in multiple jurisdictions. Exceptional command of legal research tools, including LexisNexis, Westlaw, and AI legal platforms. Strong leadership and communication skills with experience training or supervising legal staff. Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex cases with minimal oversight. Tech-savvy and comfortable integrating AI tools into the legal drafting process. Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Performance-based bonuses.
