Burgers Tacos Wings & Seafood in Jamaica, NY is looking for one fry cook/utilty person to join our 12 person strong team. We are located on 110 46 Merrick Blvd 110 46 Merrick Blvd. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged. Benefits • We offer many great benefits, including free early access to your pay through Homebase. • Discounted meals Responsibilities • Assist grill cook with daily task • Safely operate deep fryers and other cooking equipment • monitor oil temperatures • perform regular cleaning and maintenance on equipment • cook fried menu items such as fish, chicken and fries to proper doneness and temperature • maintain a clean, organized and sanitary work station • ensure consistent quality and proper portion sizes for all fried items to meet customer satisfaction and company standards. • set up fry station with all necessary ingredients and supplies before service and restock items as needed • assist with managing inventory levels for fry station supplies and communicate with management when stock is running low. • coordinate with grill cook to ensure timely and efficient order processing • wash dishes and properly store them away • take out trash & recycling • assist with maintaining cleanliness of restaurant Qualifications • Knowledge of basic cooking and frying techniques • food safety knowledge • ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment • strong organizational and time management skills • physical ability to stand for extended periods of time. • a keen eye for detail We are looking forward to hearing from you.
