Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Office of IT Operations. As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist - Chief (Office of IT Operations), you will oversee three divisions that provide full-service customer support, network design and management, and direction and oversight for IT Infrastructure. Duties Help As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist - Chief (Office of IT Operations), you will: • Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for all core technology services including production services (data center, server and storage, network engineering), support services (help desk, personal systems, telecommunications / videoconferencing, engineering, productivity applications, document imaging), and security and cyber security (technical security, user provisioning). • Oversee reporting, change management, incident management, problem management, and release management - in coordination with the respective staff - in order to proactively identify risks, opportunities and downstream impacts to the customer/business. • Partner with the BEP stakeholders to select, acquire, implement, train and support enterprise systems for the enablement of our mission. For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service Specialized experience for this position includes: • Developing, leading, or managing programs that identifies and assesses the nature and scope of cyber threats as well as implementing programs to reduce vulnerabilities to agency personnel, resources, and systems; AND • Working collaboratively across internal business units and other partners to manage cross cutting programs; AND • Planning and implementing scalable, reliable, and resilient solutions to support the enterprise. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: • Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. • Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. • Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. • Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. • In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: • For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background investigation and favorable adjudication. The background investigation process conducted by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing is very thorough.
