Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer: Test, Performance, Scalability Company Overview: Builders Capital is a leading technology-driven financial services company specializing in innovative lending solutions for the construction industry. Role Overview: As a Senior Software Development Engineer focused on Test, Performance, and Scalability, you will play a critical role in ensuring the robustness and efficiency of the BIMQuote Server Application. Your expertise will drive the development and maintenance of high-quality testing frameworks and performance optimization strategies to support our scalable application platform. What You'll Do: - You will design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure software quality and reliability. - You will analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks to optimize application scalability. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance testing into the development lifecycle. - You will develop and execute load and stress tests to validate system robustness under various conditions. - You will troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in a timely manner. - You will contribute to architectural discussions to enhance system scalability and maintainability. - You will mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in testing and performance engineering. - You will document testing procedures and performance metrics to support continuous improvement. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on testing, performance, and scalability. - Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python. - Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar. - Deep understanding of software testing methodologies and automation frameworks. - Experience with cloud platforms and scalable application architectures. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with BIMQuote Server Application or similar construction industry platforms. - Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Background in database performance tuning and optimization.
