Job Title: Lead Senior Software Development Engineer: Development Manager Company Overview: Builders Capital is a dynamic financial technology company specializing in innovative lending solutions for real estate investors. Role Overview: As the Lead Senior Software Development Engineer and Development Manager, you will spearhead the software development team, providing both strategic leadership and hands-on technical guidance. Your role is pivotal in shaping the architecture and scalability of our Linux-based server platform, ensuring robust and efficient solutions that meet business goals. What You'll Do: - You will lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. - You will define and drive the technical roadmap for our scalable Linux-based server platform. - You will collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. - You will oversee the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and maintenance. - You will implement best practices in coding, testing, and continuous integration to ensure software reliability. - You will identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring system scalability and performance. - You will recruit and onboard new engineering talent to expand the team. - You will stay abreast of emerging technologies and integrate relevant innovations into the platform. What You Bring: - Minimum of 7 years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. - Strong expertise in Linux-based server environments and scalable platform development. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python. - Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies like AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes. - Excellent communication and team leadership skills. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the financial technology or real estate lending industry. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. - Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field. - Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in tech communities.
