Full Description

We are looking for a motivated superintendent to oversee new construction of Self Storage Facilities. Duties of the superintendent/Project Manager include maintaining the schedule, manage multiple subcontractors, schedule inspections, QA/QC. The ideal candidate should have 5 years construction experience as a lead superintendent and knowledge of metal building erection is a major plus, good understanding of site work and able to think outside of the box to resolve issues. If you have previous experience in Self Storage and/or Metal Building erection, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful superintendent will be able to handle issues as they arise and need minimal supervision. Responsibilities: • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the project • Schedules subcontractors in a timely manner to prevent delays including updating MS Schedule • Review and approve subcontractor draw requests • Review and submit submittals • Write RFI's and submit to design team • Schedule and pass all building inspections • Oversee all construction tasks front start to finish • Perform QA/QC Requirements: • Proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint, Word), MS Project, ProCore, BlueBeam • 5 years of lead Superintendent/Project Manager experience • Able to understand plan sheets and details • Able to commute to the job sites • Able to work variable hours and multi-task to get the job done • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Education: • High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: • Superintendent/Project Manager: 5 years (Required) License/Certification: • Driver's License (Required) • First Aid Certification (Required) • OSHA 10 (Required) Ability to Commute: • Detroit, MI 48205 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Detroit, MI 48205: Relocate before starting work (Required) Willingness to travel: • 25% (Required) Work Location: In person
