Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or construction management, construction and engineering experience, project management knowledge, strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency in AutoCAD, and ability to interpret construction and MEP drawings.
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BruntWork is seeking a Project Support Engineer for a remote position. The role involves assisting with various project management tasks, including construction work breakdown, project scheduling, and providing engineering support to project managers. Responsibilities • Assist with construction work breakdown, creation of request for bid documents, vendor qualification, project procurement, and selection approvals. • Assist with project scheduling, documentation, RFIs, and submittals. • Provide design support, including layout refinement and coordination of architectural and MEP elements. • Provide back-office engineering support to Project Managers. • Produce detailed construction drawings for refrigeration, utilities, and building systems in AutoCAD. • Provide sales support in work breakdown and estimating support on prospective projects. • Support MEP design development and help evaluate equipment selections for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems. • Review drawings / specifications and assist with resolving technical issues. • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, project managers, and field supervisors. • Support installation details of refrigeration equipment, MEP systems, architectural features, and insulated panel systems. • Source and track material and equipment deliveries. • Create detailed reports for work instruction and project status. • Coordinate project documentation and file access. Skills • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience). • History of construction and engineering experience. • Background or continuing development in project management methods. • Excellent English Language verbal and written communication. • Attention to detail, independent work, and urgency. • Excellent organizational skills in approach and records management. • Strong skills in AutoCAD and ability to produce clear construction details. • Ability to read and interpret construction and MEP drawings. • Experience with cold storage, refrigeration systems, or food facility construction.
