ANALYST, SALES AND REPORTING POSITION SUMMARY This position plays a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and positioning new business opportunities, reinventing business processes and creating new operational capabilities. This role will facilitate project delivery and execution by defining, contextualizing, and communicating business requirements in a language and format that is easy for project team members to understand. The Sales and Reporting Analyst supports business expansion and project preparation by defining and refining business requirements and conducting business cases to prioritize business initiatives. Once approved, the analyst participates in the full execution cycle (design, development, testing, and implementation). The role will work closely with internal customers and stakeholders including but not limited to the Commercial team, Finance, R&D & Operations. YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: • Participate in the identification, analysis, and prioritization of strategic business opportunities. • Develop preparatory documents and present the findings of the project selection and prioritization process with project execution teams. • Organize workshops, conduct interviews, and conduct research on related areas; use other information gathering techniques to refine and refine requirements. • Define, document, and validate business requirements. • Ensure deliverables meet business requirements. • Provide detailed answers to the project team's questions regarding business requirements. • Review deliverables to ensure they are evolving in accordance with business requirements. • Identify and document test scenarios to ensure solutions will deliver actual design intent. • Contribute to the definition and development of business analysis practices within division. • Help refine business analysis methods, processes, and tools. YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: • Bachelor's degree in commerce, management, engineering, computer science, or a related field; a master's degree is an asset. • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a business analyst. • Knowledge of the business world with previous experience in the governmental or civic sector is a significant differentiator. • Proven ability to identify and articulate business requirements and convert them into use cases, case studies, or test scenarios. • Experience in assessing the costs, risks, and ROI of business projects. • Exceptional skills in the Microsoft environment (Powerpoint, Excel, SharePoint, Project, etc.). • Strong problem-solving capability. • Excellent analytical and information processing skills. • Influence, persuasion, and the ability to drive change. • Good judgment and discretion in sensitive situations. • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. • High tolerance for stress.
