Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at BMG, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our thermoforming machinery at customer sites. You will provide expert technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and customer satisfaction. What You'll Do: - You will install, maintain, and repair thermoforming packaging machinery at customer locations. - You will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues to minimize downtime. - You will provide technical training and support to customers to ensure proper machine operation. - You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to communicate field feedback and improve product design. - You will maintain detailed service records and reports to track maintenance activities and machine performance. - You will respond promptly to emergency service calls and provide effective solutions under pressure. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service activities. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service technician or in a similar technical role. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with experience in industrial machinery. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams. - Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with clients. - Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a field environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with thermoforming or packaging machinery. - Knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems. - Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical fields. - Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as needed.
