Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at BMG, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our thermoforming and automation equipment at customer sites. You will be the frontline representative of BMG, providing expert technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance to uphold our high standards of service. What You'll Do: - You will install, maintain, and repair thermoforming and automation machinery at customer locations. - You will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues to minimize downtime. - You will provide technical training and support to customers to ensure proper equipment operation. - You will collaborate with engineering and customer service teams to resolve complex technical problems. - You will document service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and parts used. - You will travel regularly to customer sites, maintaining a professional and customer-focused demeanor. - You will recommend improvements and upgrades to enhance equipment performance and reliability. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or equipment maintenance, preferably in thermoforming or automation industries. - Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Willingness to travel extensively and work independently in the field. - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with PLC programming and diagnostics. - Background in automation software and controls. - Technical certifications related to mechanical or electrical systems. - Prior experience working in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
