Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at BMG, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our thermoforming and automation equipment at customer sites. You will be the frontline representative of BMG, providing expert technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services to uphold our high standards of customer satisfaction. What You'll Do: - You will install, maintain, and repair thermoforming and automation machinery at customer locations. - You will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues to minimize downtime. - You will provide technical training and support to customers to ensure proper equipment operation. - You will collaborate with engineering and customer service teams to resolve complex technical challenges. - You will document service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and parts used. - You will travel regularly to customer sites, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. - You will maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance with company and industry standards. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or industrial equipment maintenance. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Proficiency with automation systems and PLC programming is highly desirable. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with thermoforming machinery or packaging equipment. - Technical certifications related to electrical or mechanical systems. - Familiarity with diagnostic software and remote support tools. - Previous experience working in a global or multi-site organization.
