Brown & Brown is seeking a Director of Technology, Personal Lines to join our growing team! The role of the Director of Technology, Personal Lines, is to be responsible for providing technology expertise within the specialized area of personal lines insurance. This position will use operational insurance understanding combined with expert knowledge of various existing and emerging technologies to recommend and implement solutions that solve business needs. How You Will Contribute: Deeply engages with stakeholders by establishing and maintaining ongoing business relationships Understands how existing business solutions are used to determine current and future state Knows the business results to be achieved and collaborates with technical resources to research and recommend new solutions based upon the business case Clarifies and documents the strategic path to those outcomes and advances them into the demand intake process Maintains and improves knowledge sharing and collaboration between the business and IT Assists in the development of customer feedback channels; manages and monitors customer complaints Understands and communicates the need to optimize and improve current solutions Assesses gaps in the market and research potential emerging solutions Identifies the potential for custom-developed solutions that provide competitive advantage Anticipates current and future technology needs Skills & Experience to Be Successful: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, project management or related field (preferred) Use of Agile software development methodologies (preferred) 5+ years' experience in a similar or related position 5+ years' experience working on software systems related to personal lines insurance (e.g. Vertafore products, Zywave, Applied, etc.) 5+ years project management experience successfully defining and delivering customer technology solutions Experience in project lifecycles from business case development to final solution delivery Thorough knowledge of current technology solutions, including CRM, 3rd party software insurance products, and custom software development Pay Range $110k - $125k Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
