The Communications and Project Coordinator will draft and proofread various materials and serve as the main point of contact between the Regulatory/Legislative team and internal Communications/Marketing teams. They will also assist with managing multiple projects and support the day-to-day operations of the team.
Candidates should have 2-4 years of relevant experience in communications, operations, or marketing, with strong proofreading and writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.

Brown & Brown is seeking a Communications and Project Coordinator to join our Regulatory and Legislative Strategy team to support a variety of cross-functional projects spanning marketing, communications, learning and development, and operational initiatives. Copy editing skills are important to the success of the Communications and Project Coordinator role. The ideal candidate is organized, focused, and comfortable working independently, with experience in drafting content, proofreading, and managing multiple projects. How You Will Contribute: Draft and proofread correspondence, articles, resources, and presentations. Serve as the main point of contact between the Reg/Leg team and internal Communications/Marketing team to coordinate the process of transitioning compliance materials from draft form to a finalized product for publication and distribution internally and externally. Serve as a liaison between the Reg/Leg team, other internal teams, local/regional offices and consultants, and internal teammates. Update and format PowerPoint presentations and Excel trackers. Support regulatory communications and employee benefits-related messaging. Conduct research and discovery for operational needs. Assist in building out internal training materials. Track and maintain a daily email activity log. Ensure Reg/Leg team’s electronic systems and platforms are up to date. Assist with various special projects and day-to-day operations of the Reg/Leg team. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail in all written materials. Occasionally organize and coordinate events, conferences, and travel arrangements. Skills & Experience to Be Successful: 2–4 years of relevant experience in communications, operations, marketing, or HR support. Strong proofreading and writing skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Previous experience supporting employee benefits or HR communications is a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Demonstrated success in a fully remote position. A professional who “moves with focus” and gets the job done. Pay Range $25.00 - $28.00 Hourly The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
