The NPT brought together pharmacy specialist resources from many businesses across Brown & Brown organizing our teammates into three distinct teams: Pharmacy Consulting and Analytics Auditing PillarRx Copay Maximization We are seeking a detail-oriented, data-driven Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing technology team. This position will use data analytics techniques to take a detailed look at complex pharmaceutical transactions and use our relational database to tell compelling visual stories with client data. This role will involve working with a cross functional team throughout the development process, including clients, account representatives, and clinical team members to understand business needs by evaluating trends, building forecasts, and detecting patterns in the data that have actionable insights. The right candidate will be excited to optimize and create compelling data stories and models to help business take data-driven decisions while ensuring stability, reliability, scalability and performance. The successful candidate is a team player who is organized, detail-oriented and pro-active. Job Responsibilities Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. Analyze and synthesize data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies. Develop custom data models & algorithms and create data visualizations (reports and dashboards) to support user stories and drive actionable insights. Drive discussions on data and insights, context, and implications with business and technology partners. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements & best practices such as automation of manual processes, optimization of data models and re-design of visualization for greater scalability. Implement observability tools that will allow for tracking of data quality, users & performance and to enable strategic planning of product enhancements & process improvements. Perform root cause analysis on logic changes & bug identification to identify opportunities for product improvement. Create and maintain product-related documentation (e.g. project plans, business & technical requirement documents, etc.). Communication of technical specifications to ensure that proper and optimized techniques, queries, and final deliverables are understood and incorporated into data and analytics processes. Comply with and adhere to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures (including HIPAA requirements), and "leading practices". Responsible for mentorship of junior team members Serve as technical liaison to business users Contribute to innovative strategies by exploring, investigating, and implementing new data-centric analytics representing industry changes Required Qualifications Education: B.S. Computer Science, Business Analytics or similar field. 5+ years of relevant working experience within data analytics field. Adept in Tableau, Qlik or similar data visualization and analytics tools. Working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases & query authoring (SQL). Maintain in-depth understanding of relevant data analytics best practices and display expertise with tools needed to debug and diagnose issues. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to oversight and following instruction closely, while anticipating needs and developing efficiencies on repeat tasks. Must be able to adapt to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment. Strong sense of project ownership and the ability to manage high project volume effectively. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytics skill with the ability to work in a cross-functional team. Quick self-motivated learner who can initiate and drive new projects in anticipation of management and client goals and objectives with little or no supervision. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with experience in developing and maintaining effective, collaborative working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Self-directed and comfortable supporting the business needs of multiple teams, systems and products. A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Preferred but not required Knowledge & experience creating advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, statistical tests, etc. and understanding of their real-world advantages/drawbacks. Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets. Python, VBA or any other scripting language experience. Knowledge and skills in ORACLE PL/QL and PostgreSQL. Pharmaceutical, healthcare or medical data experience. Experience in project tracking tools (Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project). Adept in all phases of the product development cycle.
