Brown & Brown is seeking a Business Analyst - Data to join our growing team! Business Analyst – Data will lead and deliver data initiatives that drive measurable business value across the organization. This hybrid role combines agile project management with strategic business analysis to ensure data solutions are scoped effectively, executed with precision, and adopted successfully. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and motivating cross-functional teams while translating business needs into actionable data use cases and technical requirements. How You Will Contribute: Project Planning and Management Define project scope, goals, and deliverables focused on Data-driven business outcomes. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies. Lead project status meetings, sprint reviews, and stakeholder updates. Monitor progress, manage interdependencies, and ensure timely delivery of Data solutions. Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) based on initiative complexity and stakeholder needs. Business Analysis and Solution Design Partner with business units to identify analytics and reporting opportunities and define problem statements. Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for dashboards, reports, data pipelines, and integrations. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product owners to validate feasibility and align on solution design. Support data mapping, transformation, and lineage documentation. Help define success metrics and performance benchmarks for reporting and data solutions. Define and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks to maintain data quality, consistency, and compliance across all analytics and reporting environments. Drive adoption of data stewardship practices by establishing clear ownership, metadata standards, and secure access protocols aligned with regulatory requirements. Team Leadership and Collaboration Provide leadership and guidance to internal and external project team members. Delegate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure accountability across roles. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to remove blockers and accelerate delivery. Build and monitor KPIs to assess team performance and project health. Stakeholder Engagement and Governance Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals and outcomes. Prepare and deliver clear, concise communications tailored to executive and operational audiences. Support implementation of governance frameworks for Data initiatives, including ethical review and compliance checkpoints. Skills and Experience to be Successful: 3–5 years of experience in business analysis or project management, with exposure to analytics, reporting, or data consolidation projects. Strong understanding of data management, reporting, and decision-support processes. Proven track record of driving developer accountability and adherence through structured frameworks and escalation protocols. Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Power BI/Tableau. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Analytics, or related experience. preferred Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile methodologies. preferred Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data integration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend). preferred Pay Range $80,000 - $100,000 Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
