About the role: This role partners with the client’s team to drive the design, implementation, and governance of life insurance programs, ensuring vendor solutions, platforms, and partnerships meet business needs and regulatory requirements. Incumbent will manage complex, regulated initiatives, driving RFPs, implementations, audit readiness, and performance management from strategy through execution. The role acts as a key connector across compliance, legal, operations, technology, and external vendors to deliver compliant, scalable, and high‑quality life insurance solutions. Responsibilities: Design, expand, and manage life insurance programs, vendors, and strategic partnerships. Evaluate life insurance products, platforms, and vendors using knowledge of administration and regulatory requirements. Develop compliant, innovative solutions to address gaps in standard vendor offerings. Lead and support RFP processes, including requirements development, vendor evaluation, selection, and onboarding. Plan and execute implementations and integrations for new or evolving life insurance programs and vendors. Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance through documentation, evidence management, and issue tracking. Partner with internal teams and external vendors to meet contractual, regulatory, and quality standards. Serve as day-to-day project lead for multiple, complex, regulated initiatives. Translate business and compliance requirements into project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Track progress, manage risks, resolve issues, and escalate as appropriate. Define and monitor metrics to assess program performance and priorities. Act as a liaison across compliance, legal, operations, vendors, and technology teams to drive effective execution. Skills needed: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 3–5 years of program and/or project management experience in life insurance or insurance benefits. Strong project and implementation management skills, including experience supporting RFP processes and compliance‑driven decision‑making. Ability to analyze and synthesize information to assess risk, support sound business judgment, and inform recommendations. Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proven problem‑solving skills with the ability to anticipate needs, troubleshoot issues, and develop compliant, client‑focused solutions. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to handle highly sensitive information and maintain confidentiality related to benefit programs, vendors, and audits. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
