Role Overview The Senior Representative, Regional Sales (RSR) plays a critical role in driving new business development and building strong customer relationships within the assigned region. This position focuses on identifying, engaging, and securing new accounts while supporting and growing existing customer relationships to achieve sales targets. The RSR is responsible for executing a sales strategy to expand Brother Gearmotor’s presence in the region, working to meet or exceed sales quotas. The role involves prospecting, presenting solutions to customers, and managing the sales cycle to close deals effectively. Collaboration with internal teams, including Customer Service, Marketing, and Engineering, is essential to ensure customer satisfaction and deliver on business objectives. This is a remote position based within the immediate vicinity of the assigned territory and involves up to 70% travel for on-site meetings, customer visits, and industry events. Duties & Responsibilities New Business Development • * Identify, qualify, and engage potential customers within the assigned region to establish new accounts • Coordinate with Sales Leadership to implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets and industries • Conduct prospecting activities, including cold calls, networking events, trade shows, and targeted outreach campaigns • Present Brother Gearmotor solutions to prospective customers, highlighting value propositions and tailoring offerings to meet customer needs • Negotiate and close new business deals to achieve growth objectives Account Management and Growth • * Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue potential • Conduct regular account reviews to understand customer needs and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly • Collaborate with internal teams to provide solutions, manage order fulfillment, and resolve service-related concerns Administrative And Reporting Responsibilities • * Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in CRM tools like Salesforce • Submit timely and accurate reports, including weekly progress updates and expense reports • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements Sales Strategy and Planning • * In collaboration with Sales Leadership, develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales plan to meet or exceed quota • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize results • Prepare and present detailed forecasts, pipeline reports, and territory updates to leadership Collaboration with Internal Teams • Partner with Marketing to support lead generation efforts and execute targeted campaigns • Work closely with Customer Service, Engineering, and Operations to ensure seamless customer onboarding and support • Provide feedback to Product Development teams to enhance offerings based on customer needs and market demand Experience & Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred Experience • Minimum 5 years a combination of relevant experience spanning the following areas: • Experience in outside sales, managing sales accounts, and driving sales objectives for a wide product portfolio • Experience in identifying opportunities for sales growth & closing on new accounts • Experience supporting sales from a subject matter expert role that includes direct customer engagement Software/Technical Skills • * Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, preferably Salesforce -Preferred • Knowledge of the power transmission industry & related mechanical technologies -Preferred Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities • * Effective communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal) • Ability to influence and negotiate with customers • Ability to build and deliver effective sales presentations to customers • Ability to build relationships within and outside of the organization Additional Details For This Role This role is a remote field-based role. A fixed office schedule is not an expectation of the position. The defined sales territory for this role is the West Territory. Travel is expected throughout the territory up to 50% of the time, or an average of 6-8trips per quarter, dependent on business need. Base Salary • * The targeted base salary range for this position is 70k- 85k per year. • Base salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the successful candidate, as well as factors such as internal equity, cost of labor in the hiring location, and alignment with market data. Additional Compensation • * This position is eligible for a $ 30,000 sales bonus in annual total at 100% of target, with the opportunity to achieve above 100% dependent on individual performance and in alignment with company sales and bonus plans. • This position is also eligible for a 2.83 % bonus at 100% of target, with the opportunity to achieve above 100% dependent on company performance and in alignment with company bonus plans. • Bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon individual performance as well as Brother achieving its corporate objectives, in accordance with the applicable bonus plan in effect. • This position is also eligible for an auto allowance paid monthly in the first pay period of each month. This auto allowance may be used in the employee’s sole discretion but is intended toward maintenance of the employee’s own vehicle they’ll be using for business commuting. This is independent and in addition to the company’s Travel & Entertainment policy, which covers mileage reimbursement and additional business travel expenses. About Where We Work Brother’s corporate headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ, across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard.
