About Us We are a boutique, technology-driven investment firm specializing in complex and opportunistic real estate credit. Our strategy is to combine deep domain expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver best-in-class outcomes for our investors. We are seeking an AI Engineer to help us build and deploy an integrated AI infrastructure across our entire business, from origination through portfolio management and investor relations. Role Overview This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm at the intersection of finance, real estate, and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of AI-driven tools, workflows, and systems to automate and optimize core functions, enhance decision-making, and scale our platform. Key Responsibilities • Loan Origination & Underwriting: Develop AI tools to source, screen, and evaluate opportunities, including automated financial modeling, document parsing, and risk scoring. • Due Diligence & Compliance: Apply AI/ML models for data validation, third-party report review, compliance checks, and red-flag detection. • Loan Monitoring & Servicing: Build monitoring dashboards and predictive analytics for performance tracking, covenant compliance, and servicing workflows. • Portfolio & Asset Management: Create AI systems to analyze portfolio trends, identify risks, and optimize capital allocation. • Investor Relations & Reporting: Automate report generation, investor updates, and fundraising communications using generative AI. • Accounting & Back Office: Streamline accounting, cashflow tracking, and reconciliation with AI-enabled tools. • Fundraising & Business Development: Deploy AI for CRM automation, deal pipeline analytics, and targeted capital-raising campaigns. • Cross-Functional Innovation: Identify additional use cases across operations, legal, risk, and management where AI can increase efficiency or unlock new capabilities. Qualifications • Proven experience in AI/ML applications, ideally within financial services, fintech, or real estate credit. • Familiarity with loan origination, servicing, or asset management workflows is highly preferred. • Proficiency with Python, SQL, APIs, and AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, LLM fine-tuning). • Understanding of data infrastructure (ETL pipelines, data warehouses, structured/unstructured financial data). • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to bridge technical tools and business needs. • Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and capable of working in a boutique high-performance environment.
