Candidates must have 8+ years of experience with large-scale healthcare solutions, particularly Medicaid Pharmacy Benefits Management systems, and 3+ years of IT system experience. A bachelor's degree is required, with preferred qualifications including certifications in process improvement methodologies and a master's degree.
Description Briljent is seeking a highly experienced Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) professional to support the New York State Department of Health’s (DOH) eMedNY Assessment project. The individual will provide subject matter expertise in pharmacy benefit systems and Medicaid enterprise modernization efforts, contributing directly to the design and future procurement of the Pharmacy Management Module. Responsibilities Provide expert input on the design and scoping of the Pharmacy Management Module procurement. Support drafting of high-level scope, vision, objectives, and system capabilities, ensuring alignment with DOH’s vision and CMS directives. Contribute subject matter insights into eMedNY pharmacy and drug rebate functionality. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure documentation feeds into RFP development. Support development of procurement documentation that defines objectives, functional design, and technical considerations. Requirements 8+ years’ experience with large-scale healthcare solutions, including Medicaid Pharmacy Benefits Management systems and MES/MMIS. 3+ years’ IT system experience and formal technical training. 3+ years’ experience on enterprise-level systems/projects. Bachelor’s degree. Preferred Qualifications Certifications and/or experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PDCA cycles, Kanban). Master’s degree. Familiarity with project management, business analysis, or ITIL practices. Additional Details Location: Remote with occasional travel to Albany, NY. Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/week.
