Job Summary • The Maintenance Installation Business Developer is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing contracts for small scale landscape construction services and installation projects. This role requires a strong balance of sales expertise, industry knowledge, and relationship management to expand the client base, increase revenue, and ensure long-term customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold outreach • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities for installation projects outside the Maintenance book of business. • Develop customized proposals and sales presentations that address client needs and highlight company value • Negotiate and close contracts in alignment with company pricing standards and profitability goals • Build strong, long-term relationships with property managers, developers, general contractors, and decision-makers • Serve as the primary point of contact during the sales cycle and ensure a smooth transition to operations teams post-sale • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction, identify upsell opportunities, and drive retention • Stay informed on local market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends to identify new opportunities • Represent the company at trade associations, networking events, and community engagements. • Leverage market intelligence to position the company as a preferred partner for landscaping installation solutions • Partner with estimating, operations, and project management teams to ensure accurate proposals and service delivery. Review large scale ($1M or greater) jobs with senior leadership (SVP) • Work with branch and senior leadership to set annual sales goals, budgets, and strategies • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline development, and results using CRM systems Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in business, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience) • 3-5 years of proven success in B2B sales preferably in landscaping, construction, property management, facility management or related service industries • Knowledge of landscape maintenance and installation practices, horticulture, and project management fundamentals • Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently • Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting Physical Demands/Requirements: • Regular local travel to client sites, industry events, and networking opportunities • Office-based activities including proposal development, client follow-up, and team collaboration • Ability to physically perform the basic life operational functions of walking, standing, and kneeling • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Work Environment: • Works in an indoor office and outdoors during construction site walks or project evaluations • Requires occasional evening and/or weekend networking events or meetings BrightView Landscapes, LLC is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer. Compensation Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 + Commission BrightView offers a suite or health, wellness, and financial benefits to full-time team members.
