Welcome to Brightline! We are searching for a Director, People Business Partner – Care Teams to act as a strategic operator and trusted advisor to our Care leadership team. This role sits at the intersection of people strategy and business performance, ensuring our organizational design, leadership capabilities, and talent strategy enable exceptional care delivery at scale. The ideal candidate brings a strategic business mindset, thrives in dynamic and complex environments, and knows how to partner “shoulder-to-shoulder” with executives to align people strategy to growth priorities. Responsibilities: Strategic Business Partnership Serve as a thought partner to Care executives, shaping organizational strategy through a people lens. Anticipate workforce challenges and proactively develop strategies that enable growth, scalability, and operational excellence. Translate business goals into clear people strategies that support both care delivery and long-term organizational health. Organizational Design & Effectiveness Lead organizational design efforts to ensure the right structures, roles, and spans/layers are in place for scale. Assess organizational capabilities and design interventions that enhance clarity, efficiency, and collaboration. Advise leaders on aligning talent, resources, and operating models with evolving business needs. Leadership Alignment & Capability Building Act as a coach and advisor to senior leaders, strengthening their ability to lead high-performing teams through change. Guide executives on leadership effectiveness, succession planning, and capability development. Influence leadership decision-making with a balance of strategic insight and pragmatic counsel. Change Leadership & Growth Readiness Partner with executives to navigate organizational change tied to growth, new service lines, or shifts in care delivery models. Ensure adoption of new structures and strategies is smooth, aligned, and culturally consistent. Act as a cultural ambassador, reinforcing Brightline’s mission and values through times of scale and transition. Workforce Strategy & Insights Leverage people and business data to inform decisions, connecting workforce insights with clinical and operational metrics. Provide leaders with clear, actionable recommendations that drive performance and employee engagement. Anticipate future talent needs and partner with leaders to ensure workforce readiness. Requirements: 8+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience in high-growth, matrixed, or dynamic environments (tech, healthcare, or SaaS a plus). Bachelor’s degree in an HR-related field and/or HR certification preferred. Proven expertise in organizational design, change leadership, and executive coaching. Strong working knowledge of employment law and employee relations best practices, with a balanced, business-oriented mindset. Track record of aligning people strategy with business outcomes, including workforce planning and leadership development. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influence skills; able to establish trust and credibility with executives, managers, and team members. Strategic thinker with the ability to zoom out on vision and zoom in on details when needed. Comfortable operating with ambiguity, driving clarity, and leading through change. Willingness to travel to New York and California in alignment with Care Team needs. In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for applicants is $170,000-$200,000.
