Job Summary We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorney Brian Cathey in all phases of civil litigation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex cases involving medical records, experts, and significant damages. This is a hybrid position (mostly remote) in a small-firm environment where teamwork and initiative are essential. Responsibilities • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and discovery responses • Manage case files, deadlines, calendars, and litigation workflows • Organize and summarize medical records, expert reports, and case evidence • Coordinate with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit lists, trial binders, and witness preparation • Maintain organized documentation and support attorneys throughout the litigation process • Assist with settlement documents and case closing tasks Qualifications • 1+ years of litigation paralegal experience (personal injury or medical malpractice preferred) • Paralegal certificate or degree strongly preferred • Strong knowledge of Georgia civil procedure • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills • Ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency with filing pleadings through PeachCourt and Odyssey • Experience reviewing medical records and coordinating depositions is a plus What We Offer • Competitive pay based on experience • Meaningful, hands-on work on impactful cases • Small-firm environment with direct collaboration with attorneys • Professional growth opportunities in complex civil litigation Schedule • Monday–Friday • Full-time, mostly remote with in office training to start Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: • Free parking • Paid sick time • Paid time off • Work from home People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: Hybrid remote in Athens, GA 30605
