The Analyst is a member of the Research Operations team who supports the department’s technical needs relating to Breakthrough T1D’s grant management system, operational expense reporting/processing, and maintenance of public-facing data. The Analyst will play a critical role in tracking progress on projects, while championing a culture of portfolio transparency and demonstrating impeccable data quality control. The ideal candidate will bring their enthusiasm, desire for problem-solving, and collaborative spirit to a high-performing team. They will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and able to successfully navigate diverse functional teams all while prioritizing a sense of urgency - thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position is on a hybrid schedule (2 days in office per week). SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Execute ongoing grant system requests, with opportunities to manage individual projects as need arises Participate in implementing tools that enhance organizational efficiency (such as databases, software, dashboards/portfolio visuals, public-facing data, etc.) Maintain system administration standard operating procedures and grant handbook Resolve or elevate grant administration system-related needs Process and track departmental operating expenses Perform monthly credit card reconciliations Above all, scrutinize the details and have a meticulous eye QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree required, business or administration related major preferred 1-2 years of professional experience required Previous experience in grant management is not required; however, a general knowledge of NIH-style grant processes and award management will be a substantial advantage Knowledge of database system administration and demonstrated problem-solving abilities Previous example of process/project improvement Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams Expertise in preparing presentations, reports, and business correspondence Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into a coherent summary Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and work in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated sense of urgency and accountability Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build trusted relationships and maintain positive working relationships across the organization and external vendors/stakeholders Target Salary: $70-80K Essential Functions: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
