Title: Frontend Engineer Employee Location: Boulder, CO (relocation stipend available) Reporting To: Chief Technology Officer Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid in office Boulder, CO Work Authorization: Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship ABOUT BRANCHLAB BranchLab is an AI-native technology company setting a new standard in privacy-first, outcome-based advertising for healthcare. Our Pathwai™ platform enables pharmaceutical brands, agencies, and media partners to design, activate, and measure audiences defined by real-world outcomes such as prescriptions, diagnoses, or healthcare visits. By analyzing millions of patient journeys with advanced neural network modeling, Pathwai™ predicts the next likely step in care using non-health data, allowing advertisers to engage patients and caregivers earlier, while protecting consumer privacy. All data is anonymized and aggregated, ensuring compliance across all 50 states. Our mission is to help healthcare brands achieve measurable performance while connecting more people with the care they need, when it matters most. THE OPPORTUNITY We’re looking for a React-focused Frontend Engineer to join our Boulder-based team and help bring drive and structure in the user-facing layers of our AI-native platform. We have a robust, production-grade service API (primarily Python) and are moving fast on AI-driven capabilities. What we need is someone who can rapidly develop features and functionality on top of this API to match our amazing design team’s specs. This person needs to understand frontend architecture—component composition, state management, framework tradeoffs, and how to build React applications that remain maintainable as complexity grows. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Design, build, and maintain modern React applications that are scalable, maintainable, and understandable by other engineers. • Help ddrive frontend architecture decisions, including component structure, state management patterns, and data-fetching strategies. • Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate with our Python-based APIs and ensure clean, well-defined contracts. • Establish and evolve frontend conventions, patterns, and best practices as the product and team grow. • Build reusable UI components and design systems that reduce duplication and cognitive load. • Ensure performance, accessibility, and usability across complex, data-driven interfaces. • Partner with product and design to translate ambiguous requirements into clear, robust UI implementations. QUALIFICATIONS • Strong experience building production React applications (Hooks, functional components, modern React patterns). • Deep understanding of component architecture, state management, and UI composition. • Experience working with modern frontend tooling and frameworks (e.g. React + Next.js, Vite, or similar). • Solid grasp of frontend performance, rendering behavior, and debugging complex UI issues. • Ability to bring structure to fast-moving or partially-defined systems without over-engineering. • Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset. NICE-TO-HAVES • Familiarity with Python or backend APIs (not required, but helpful for collaboration). • Experience working in data-heavy or analytics-driven UIs. • Exposure to AI-enabled products or rapidly evolving product surfaces. • Experience introducing or maintaining design systems or shared component libraries. • Background in Healthcare, AdTech, or other regulated / privacy-sensitive domains. WHY JOIN BRANCHLAB? • Competitive salary (100–145k) + significant equity. • Real ownership over frontend architecture in a critical, high-impact product area. • Work on genuinely hard problems at the intersection of AI, data, and privacy-first healthcare advertising. • Collaborate with strong backend engineers and data scientists while shaping how the product actually feels and works with customers.
