Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Manager of Design Engineering for one of our major electronics manufacturing clients. This role is pivotal in leading the design engineering team to develop cutting-edge electronic products, ensuring quality, efficiency, and innovation in all design processes. What You'll Do: - You will lead and mentor a team of design engineers to deliver high-quality electronic product designs. - You will oversee the entire design engineering lifecycle from concept through production. - You will collaborate cross-functionally with product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams. - You will implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the design engineering department. - You will manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively. - You will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. - You will drive innovation by staying current with emerging technologies and integrating them into design processes. - You will report regularly to senior leadership on project status and team performance. What You Bring: - Minimum of 8 years of experience in design engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry. - Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams. - Strong knowledge of electronic design tools and software. - Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with hybrid work environments and managing remote teams. - Familiarity with North Miami’s electronics manufacturing landscape. - Certifications in project management (PMP or equivalent). - Experience with regulatory compliance and quality standards such as ISO or IPC.
