Role Overview: We are partnering with a major bank in Central New Jersey to find a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Databricks. This role is designed for a professional who will enhance the bank’s data infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and efficient data processing to support critical business operations. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and related technologies. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse data sources and ensure data quality. - You will optimize data workflows for performance and reliability in a hybrid cloud environment. - You will troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to maintain system integrity. - You will implement best practices for data security and compliance within the banking sector. - You will document data engineering processes and provide technical guidance to junior team members. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. - You will support migration and integration projects, including working with H1B visa transfer candidates. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with strong expertise in Databricks. - Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools relevant to data pipeline development. - Experience working in hybrid environments with both on-site and remote collaboration. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in teams. - Valid visa status or willingness to transfer H1B visa is required. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the banking or financial services industry. - Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards. - Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Advanced skills in data modeling and analytics.
