The Supplier Business Manager is responsible for developing and managing Braemac’s overall relationship with the supplier. This is accomplished by working with the suppliers’ sales and marketing resources, Product Business Units, and Executive management to develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve profitable growth. Braemac is an electronic component distributor within the TTI Family of Specialists. This is a remote position. Responsibilities Position and promote Braemac globally with suppliers, customers, and other associated industry participants with the goal of securing Braemac as the preferred partner for suppliers and preferred distributor for customers. In concert with the Marketing team, develop and implement marketing plans which result in successful product offerings for Braemac in the present and in the future, by focusing on customer/supplier product issues and opportunities, market forecasts, industry trends and technological advancements. Facilitate regularly scheduled supplier reviews to ensure exceptional performance to the annual business plan, timely and consistent follow through on commitments and a clear understanding of the value that Braemac brings its suppliers. Develop strategies to enhance Braemac’s portfolio of product offerings and strategically expand the supplier base to meet business growth objectives. Working in conjunction with Product Management, implement new product launches by effectively conducting and delivering training material to field sales and product teams. Provide direction and support to Braemac’s marketing communications group to develop collateral materials, sales tools, advertising, newsletters, and web-based offerings for assigned suppliers’ products. Coordinate co-op promotion budget and communicate effectively to the sales team and the supplier. Participate with Product Management in the negotiation of supplier contracts for area of responsibility to provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Serve as product expert liaison between the corporate product management group and the sales organization to grow sales for area of responsibility. Serve as a consultant to the sales team, get directly involved in supporting major opportunities, and make buddy calls with the sales team, if necessary, to provide direct supplier and/or product-based support on a customer sales call. Ensure key supplier contacts are familiar with all Braemac/XTG resources. Monitor and communicate supplier performance and quality excellence. Additional Responsibilities As Assigned EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent related work experience preferred. Four plus years of progressive industry related experience required, including experience with sales, marketing, management, distribution and manufacturers/suppliers. Skills & Certifications • General Knowledge of electronic component distribution Industry. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools. • Negotiation and ability to influence, convince and persuade suppliers and internal and external customers. • Analytical skills to analyze strengths and weaknesses of product marketing efforts and related results. • Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills for communicating, and building relationships, with extensive internal and external customers. • Teamwork/collaboration skills to encourage cooperation within the product marketing department and throughout Symmetry. • Experience in Cellular/Wireless technology is preferred but not required. • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications at the intermediate level. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
