Full Description

Bradley Professional is seeking a Logistics/Shipping & Receiving Manager for their client located in Charlotte, NC. This person will take full ownership of the shipping and receiving function. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for ensuring shipments are packed, documented, and processed seamlessly, while guiding and supervising our material handler(s). A critical part of this position is having deep experience with tariffs and customs regulations and applying that expertise to keep shipping costs low for both the company and our customers. The successful candidate will also serve as the subject matter expert on our ERP system, OnRamp, ensuring all shipping data is entered correctly to maintain accurate inventory levels and compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Own and manage the shipping and receiving process end-to-end. • Perform shipping and receiving tasks while providing guidance and supervision to shipper/receiver(s). • Serve as the OnRamp ERP subject matter expert for shipping, ensuring accurate data entry and inventory alignment. • Apply knowledge of tariffs and customs to optimize cross-border shipments and minimize costs. • Prepare and process shipping labels, bills of lading, purchase orders, and commercial invoices. • Ensure proper packing and labeling of orders to meet customer specifications. • Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve logistical challenges. • Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness in logistics processes. • Support other tasks and projects as required by management. • Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Safety • Follow all workplace safety rules and procedures • Always Use appropriate PPE (steel-toe boots, welding helmet, gloves, etc.) • Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses to the supervisor • Comply with all company safety policies and government regulations Qualifications: • Proven experience in logistics management, shipping/receiving, or supply chain operations. • Strong knowledge of tariffs, customs, and cross-border shipping requirements, with a focus on cost efficiency. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and system entries. • Ability to guide and instruct shipping/receiving staff while remaining hands-on. • Hands-on experience with ERP systems related to shipping; OnRamp ERP expertise is a major • asset. • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Work Environment: • Industrial shop environment with moderate to high noise levels. • Exposure to hot surfaces, sharp edges, and metal debris. • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or bend for periods during assembly tasks
