BPT Staffing is hiring Shipping & Receiving Clerks to support daily logistics and administrative functions within our clients' distribution and 3PL facilities. In this clerical/light-warehouse hybrid role, you will help ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and organization of inbound and outbound shipments. This position blends administrative tasks—such as preparing documents, entering data, and coordinating with carriers—with light hands-on work like verifying shipment counts and applying labels. This is a non-MHE role. You will not operate forklifts or powered equipment. What you'll do Shipping Documentation & Coordination • Create and print shipping labels, packing lists, and bills of lading (BOLs) • Verify all paperwork for accuracy before release (counts, SKU/item numbers, PO references) • Schedule pickups with carriers and update transportation portals or internal systems • Communicate with carriers, warehouse leads, and customer service to resolve exceptions or delays Receiving Support • Match incoming shipments against purchase orders and receiving documents • Verify carton/pallet quantities and check for discrepancies • Ensure accurate data entry into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) • Assist with labeling, sorting, and routing inbound materials Clerical & Administrative Duties • Enter shipment information into WMS, TMS, spreadsheets, or internal tracking tools • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for shipping/receiving records • Support compliance tasks such as documentation audits or inventory adjustments • Coordinate with customer service regarding order status, shortages, or paperwork issues Light Warehouse Tasks (Non-MHE) • Place outbound labels on cartons or pallets • Perform basic counts, visual checks, and carton/tote verification • Assist with staging outbound shipments and preparing small parcels • Support general workflow needs in shipping and receiving departments What you bring • 1–3+ years of administrative, clerical, shipping/receiving, or DC office-support experience (3PL preferred but not required) • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork and data entry • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); WMS/TMS exposure is a plus • Comfortable performing light physical tasks (placing labels, verifying counts, handling cartons up to 25–35 lbs) • Strong communication skills for working with carriers, CS teams, and warehouse leadership • Ability to stay organized and prioritize in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment • Reliable, professional, and able to follow standard operating procedures Important Safety Note • This is a non-MHE position. You will not operate forklifts, ride-on pallet jacks, or other powered industrial equipment.
