Location: Remote (Must be US/Canada based) Commitment: Part-Time, 10–20 hours/week About the Role BPM Advisors is seeking a highly skilled Nutanix Engineer to support several ongoing infrastructure modernization initiatives. This is a part-time, flexible-hours role ideal for someone experienced in Nutanix AOS/AHV environments who enjoys working with cross-functional teams and supporting mature enterprise infrastructure. In this role, you will provide expert guidance on Nutanix cluster operations, perform health assessments, advise on upgrades, troubleshoot performance issues, and support migration or lifecycle activities. You will collaborate with BPMA’s senior architects and infrastructure engineers to ensure stable, secure, and efficient HCI operations across client environments. Key Responsibilities • Perform Nutanix cluster health checks, performance tuning, and lifecycle assessments. • Provide expert recommendations on AOS and AHV upgrades, hardware compatibility, and best practices. • Support Prism Central/Prism Element configuration, monitoring, and optimization. • Assist with VMware-to-Nutanix migrations, including Move tool guidance. • Troubleshoot storage, compute, and hypervisor issues in Nutanix environments. • Review and validate HCI architecture, DR readiness, and cluster scalability. • Support engineers during platform changes, maintenance windows, and configuration updates. • Advise on Nutanix Files/Objects, Flow, and Data Protection (if applicable). • Document findings, create knowledge-base entries, and provide recommendations for improvement. • Collaborate with project leads to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and customer goals. Required Skills & Experience • MUST have one of the following Nutanix Certifications: • * NCP-MCI (Nutanix Certified Professional – Multicloud Infrastructure) • *NCM-MCI (Nutanix Certified Master – Multicloud Infrastructure) • * NPX (Nutanix Platform Expert) — highly desirable • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering or architecting Nutanix environments. • Strong expertise with Nutanix AOS, AHV, and Prism Central. • Experience with cluster upgrades, lifecycle management (LCM), and node expansion. • Knowledge of storage performance, resiliency, replication, and capacity planning. • Understanding of VMware ESXi or hybrid HCI deployments. • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage, and virtualization layers. • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Experience with: Nutanix Move Prism Pro / Automation Nutanix Files or Objects Nutanix Flow (network micro-segmentation) • Familiarity with backup/DR tools and enterprise infrastructure.
