We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Shop Supervisor to join our TEAM. This position is based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and is full-time day shift hours. Our goal is for all employees to work safely without injury while maintaining the highest safety standards in compliance with company policies Manufacturing Shop Supervisor Position Overview: The Manufacturing Shop Supervisor oversees a unionized production workforce to achieve daily safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets. This role is responsible for identifying process constraints, resolving production issues, and ensuring that personnel, equipment, and materials are available to meet schedule requirements. The supervisor champions continuous improvement efforts, drives operational excellence, and fosters a collaborative, high‑engagement work environment. This position plays a key role in building team capability and supporting ongoing improvement in overall business performance. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: • Implement and assign work schedule to maximize utilization of manpower, machines, and equipment. Ensure schedule adherence. • Defines expected production standards and monitors performance standards of assigned personnel. • Plans staffing and cross-training to meet changing production demands. • Administers and supports company policies and procedures and/or labor contract provisions in a fair and consistent manner. • Prepares reports and/or presentations for management as needed and coordinates activities with other departments as necessary. • Leads a culture of safety by encouraging engagement in identifying safety issues and responding with urgency to resolve safety concerns. • Drives a quality mindset within team through ensuring team does not accept, make, or pass on poor quality. Lead problem-solving to improve quality. • Ensures inspections and quality assurance procedures are followed to maintain high quality products. • Drives a quality mindset within team through ensuring team does not accept, make, or pass on poor quality. Lead problem-solving to improve quality. • Develops the team to solve day-to-day operational issues (managing downtime events) and achieving short- and long-term performance goals. • Tracks and problem-solve productivity. Work with team to continuously identify and remove waste. • Analyze setup time and ensure accuracy, review labor hours, and meet production control schedules. • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel. • Foster a positive, team-orientated working environment. • May serve on various committees/teams and perform special projects as assigned. • Experience in GEMBA walk methodology. • Experience in 5 Why Analysis methodology. • Experience in Root Cause/Corrective Action analysis and implementation. • Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office tools to support reporting, documentation, and communication needs. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED • Demonstrated supervisory skills during three (3) years of directly related experience in respective trade, craft or skill Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma strongly desired. • Experience in 5S workplace organization methodology. Physical Demands and Work Environment: • Must remain in a stationary position (sit/stand) for extended periods. • Must operate a computer for extended periods. • Must have adequate vision for computer work and reviewing documents. • Must be physically capable of lifting, up to 50 lbs., occasionally. • Must be physically capable of occasional bending, squatting, or stooping. • Must be able to hear and speak clearly for effective communication. • Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods in a shop setting. • Must be physically able to handle parts and be around heavy equipment frequently. • Must wear required PPE when in applicable areas.
