Entity: Supply, Trading & Shipping Job Family Group: Sales Group Job Description: About the role This role operates as a primary commercial and operational interface with DLA. It is positioned in the GDIST North America team but will have a global oversight of all fuel supply activity across DLA and allied militaries. We expect this role to build and maintain relationships with key members of DLA fuel. They will own defined workstreams independently and support scaling participation while maintaining execution consistency. Key Responsibilities New Business and Tender Development (~60%) • Own bp’s participation in DLA procurement across four primary regions, including annual tender cycles and regional bidding strategy. • Expand participation into direct delivery solicitations and off cycle opportunities. • Develop engagement strategies with DLA on long term commercial structures, including storage agreements and multi period offtake arrangements. • Act as primary point of contact for Defense Production Act related engagement and identify opportunities for alternative participation structures. • Identify gaps in DLA procurement and supply execution and develop bp led solutions across fuels, logistics, and adjacent services. • Maintain ongoing engagement with DLA interested parties to translate emerging requirements into actionable commercial opportunities. • Coordinate internally across trading, supply, logistics, refining, legal, and government affairs. Existing Contract Management and Execution (~40%) • Manage execution of awarded DLA contracts, including volume tracking and delivery performance. • Coordinate nominations, supply scheduling, and logistics execution. Support invoicing, reconciliation, and resolution of discrepancies. • Act as a point of contact for operational issues and contract level matters. • Maintain internal records to support future bidding and pricing decisions. Essential Education, experience and requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree • Previous experience within DLA or DoD • Strong commercial and analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and logical decision-making abilities • Demonstrated commercial curiosity and interest in military supply and fuel procurement • High attention to detail and disciplined approach to exposure and risk management • Ability to adapt and operate effectively in a fast paced trading environment • Strong communication skills, ability to build external relationships and capability to work collaboratively across internal functions How much do we pay (Base)?126,000 - 234,000 annually • Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. This position is eligible for US Benefits - Core. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours. of vacation per year for full time employees.
