A fast-expanding and forward-thinking transportation and logistics company based in Long Beach, California, is looking for a highly motivated National Account Executive to drive business growth and expand its national customer footprint while nurturing strong, lasting client relationships. This dynamic role centers on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract close, and delivering tailored logistics solutions for shippers, freight forwarders, and import/export clients. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in international freight movement with a consultative, solutions-oriented approach and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 / year DOE National Account Executive Responsibilities • Identify and prospect new business opportunities to drive revenue growth • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract close • Develop and present tailored proposals, quotes, and presentations to clients • Build long-term partnerships with importers, exporters, freight forwarders, and logistics providers • Maintain consistent communication with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business • Conduct outbound calls and meetings to qualify leads and expand market reach • Collaborate with leadership on strategy, pricing, and target account development • Track and report sales activity, forecasts, and pipeline metrics • Attend trade shows and networking events to promote company services • Travel to client sites across the U.S. National Account Executive Requirements • Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding • Must have Trans-Pacific trade experience • Strong background in international freight and containerized cargo movement • Proven B2B sales experience and a true “hunter” mindset with lead generation ability • Familiarity with 3PL, intermodal, and container management concepts • Proficiency in Excel for reporting and analysis • Experience preparing and presenting RFPs and detailed client proposals • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Willingness to meet clients on the East Coast and Midwest • Bachelor’s degree preferred Benefits • Competitive salary with annual performance bonus • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents • Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage • 401(k) plan • PTO and paid sick days Apply Now!
