They are interdisciplinary team players who work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, engineers, and data scientists to deliver AI-enabled solutions that solve specific functional challenges. • Business-focused Systems thinkers. They work with mid-to-senior client stakeholders to shape AI solution roadmaps and ensure alignment between business priorities and technical implementation. You're Good At: We are seeking a Lead AI Solution Architect to design and guide the implementation of AI-enabled business solutions powered by LLMs and agentic systems. This role bridges business problem definition and technical execution, ideal for someone who can translate functional requirements into robust AI-driven applications. You will work across business, AI, data, and engineering teams to deliver intelligent solutions that integrate LLMs, enterprise systems, and domain workflows. AI Architecture & Solution Design • Design end-to-end AI solutions for defined functional domains, ensuring alignment with business objectives and KPIs. • Translate business requirements into AI-enabled workflows, leveraging LLMs, agentic systems, and structured/unstructured data sources. • Define RAG-based solution patterns for knowledge retrieval, contextual reasoning, and decision support. • Design integration patterns connecting AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, and operational systems. • Ensure solutions adhere to responsible AI, governance, data privacy, and security standards. • Balance solution performance, usability, cost, and scalability in architectural decisions. Prototyping & Validation • Develop solution-level prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate business use cases and AI-driven workflows. • Experiment with prompt strategies, orchestration logic, and retrieval techniques to optimize functional outcomes. • Work closely with engineering teams to validate feasibility and refine technical design decisions. Implementation Management and Support • Guide AI solutions from prototype to production, ensuring business readiness and technical robustness. • Support testing strategies, validation frameworks, and performance evaluation of AI-enabled workflows. • Collaborate on defining deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement approaches for AI solutions. Communication and Collaboration • Translate complex AI capabilities into business-relevant narratives for functional stakeholders. • Facilitate solution design workshops and working sessions with business and technology teams. • Align product, engineering, and business teams around clear use-case definitions and implementation plans. • Provide structured recommendations and clear trade-offs to support client decision-making. Team Management • Support and guide junior team members in structuring solution components and analyses. • Mentor consultants and architects in AI solution design and business alignment. • Review deliverables for clarity, functional relevance, and architectural soundness. • Model BCG's culture, collaboration standards, and client-first mindset. Innovation and Growth • Stay current on emerging AI solution patterns across industries and functions. • Identify new opportunities to apply LLMs and agentic AI to business workflows. • Contribute to solution accelerators, reusable assets, and industry-specific AI playbooks. • Support business development through solution shaping, use-case definition, and proposal input. • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders across business and technology functions. What You'll Bring • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus). • 6+ years of experience in consulting, solution architecture, or AI-enabled system implementation. • Experience designing and delivering AI/ML or LLM-based business solutions in production environments. • Strong understanding of business process design and functional workflows within at least one industry or domain. • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript) is good to have. • Experience using AI-assisted coding and development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Replit, Lovable) to accelerate solution prototyping and delivery. • Familiarity with modern AI and agentic frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, etc.). • Working knowledge of RAG, MCP, prompt orchestration, vector databases, and agent-based solution design. • Understanding of API-based integration and enterprise system connectivity. • Experience deploying AI solutions within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Strong ability to translate business requirements into structured technical designs. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Consulting mindset with comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. • Agile delivery experience with a focus on measurable business impact. • Willingness to travel to work with clients and BCG teams as needed. • Gen AI fluency (e.g., proven usage of GenAI such as ChatGPT, Claude) and validation of response. For U.S. Applicants: The base compensation for this role is $190,000 in USD. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution.
