Job description: Bostick Truck Center is seeking a Heavy-Duty Service Manager to join our team dedicated to excellence and growth in 2026. The Heavy-Duty Truck Service Manager will be responsible for rebuilding and strengthening the service department into a high-performing, efficient operation. This role will create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), develop the service team, and ensure a superior customer experience. The Service Manager oversees daily workflow, productivity, and quality while establishing a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: • Rebuild and structure the service department for long-term success • Develop and implement SOPs to improve consistency and efficiency • Lead, coach, and hold staff accountable to performance goals and KPIs • Manage repair order flow including scheduling, estimating, and timely completion • Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs and status updates • Track and manage department performance metrics including labor efficiency and profitability • Review and approve estimates, warranty claims, and invoices • Partner with Parts Department to ensure timely availability of components • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and compliant shop environment • Support recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing training of technicians and service staff • Resolve escalated service concerns promptly and professionally • Promote a positive, team-oriented culture focused on quality and customer satisfaction Qualifications & Skills: · 3 or more years of service management or supervisory experience in a heavy-duty or dealership environment preferred · Technical understanding of fleet maintenance, truck repair operations, and trailer systems. · Previous Class 8 truck and trailer experience strongly preferred. · Experience implementing processes/SOPs. · Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. · Proficient in-service management software and Microsoft Office Suite. · Organizational & Planning: · Strong Customer Service & Relationship Management · Problem-Solving & Decision-Making · Safety & Compliance Knowledge · Training & Development · Brings strong leadership that builds trust and teamwork in the service department Physical Requirements: • Ability to work in a shop environment with noise, fumes, and temperature fluctuations.
