Border Tails Rescue is looking for a fun, upbeat veterinary technician to take the position of assistant to our Medical Director. The medical manager and her team is responsible for maintaining medical records in our shelter, overseeing the health and wellness of all the animals in our shelter, talking and discussing medical care with our fosters and foster to adopts and addressing any medical concerns that may come up. They are responsible for communicating directly with our veterinary clinics and scheduling appointments for spay/neuters. We have over 100 dogs in the shelter and 50 in fosters at any given time. No experience necessary, though it's preferred. We are looking for someone who can grow and learn in this position long term. We have a close knit team who is responsible for saving thousands of dog's lives a year and we work as a team to ensure their health, wellness & happiness. This job is 40 hours a week. Preferably 8 hours shifts, 5 days a week. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour Benefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
