Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic Bilingual Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating product features, and driving sales in a fast-paced grocery store environment. Fluency in both English and another language is essential to effectively communicate with diverse customers. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales skills, gain retail experience, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience for all customers. Responsibilities • Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs • Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits of merchandise • Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties • Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales volume • Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays • Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and inviting for shoppers • Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory checks • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly • Supervise or assist in supervising team members as needed, fostering a collaborative environment • Maintain proper phone etiquette when communicating with customers or team members Requirements • Bilingual fluency in English and another language (e.g., Spanish) is required • Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar environments • Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math including cash handling and checkout procedures • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers and team members • Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, stocking, and inventory management • Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail • Basic math skills necessary for transactions and inventory tasks This position provides an engaging work environment where your sales expertise and bilingual skills can make a meaningful impact on customer satisfaction.
