About the Role A Level 1 Project Manager, typically an entry-level role, supports the planning and execution of small-scale projects or specific tasks within larger initiatives. They assist with administrative duties such as scheduling, documentation, and tracking project progress using standard tools. This role provides foundational experience and serves as a stepping stone toward more advanced project management positions. Responsible for supporting the successful delivery of implementation projects. Coordinates tasks, maintains project timelines, and facilitates communication between internal teams and clients. This role emphasizes learning project management best practices while handling low to moderately complex projects under the guidance of Project Manager II and Senior Project Managers. Key Responsibilities Assist in organizing and tracking software implementation projects from initiation to completion Serve as a point of contact for routine client communications, helping to gather requirements and relay updates Support the creation and maintenance of project timelines, meeting schedules, and task assignments Prepare and update project documentation such as implementation plans, status reports, and meeting notes Monitor progress of assigned tasks using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Monday.com, Confluence, Certinia), ensuring deadlines are met Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, QA, project team, etc.) to ensure project alignment and timely delivery Help identify, log, and track project issues or risks, escalating when necessary Ensure project activities follow standard implementation processes and best practices Continuously build knowledge in product, implementation methodologies, and project management Measurement % of assigned tasks completed on time and accurately Timely updates and follow-ups with clients and internal teams Keeping schedules, trackers, and documentation up to date Accuracy and completeness of meeting notes, project plans, and status reports Consistent use of project management tools Input from team leads, developers, and senior PMs on communication, collaboration, and reliability Professionalism and clarity in client emails or meetings Effectiveness in setting up, taking notes, and following through on meeting action items Ability to keep different stakeholders aligned and informed Demonstrated improvement in project management skills or tool proficiency over time Willingness to ask questions, take on new tasks, or propose process improvements Ability to recognize and log issues or blockers in a timely manner Knowing when and how to escalate to senior PMs appropriately Utilization: 70% Budget: % projects under/at budget (target budget / planned hours) TTV: % projects completed on time (target original deploy minus close date) CSAT: % of positive scores (target 90%) Timecards: submitted on-time (100% on-time) Goals: participation in department and individual goals (target 1 goal of each per quarter) Good HR Standing: no negative remarks and not on PIP (target lack of any issues) Collaborative: works well with project (target low count of issues raised) PMM Quality: accurate Certinia and Monday plans and follow PMM (target low count of issues raised) Evaluation Tools Regular check-ins with a mentor or senior PM Weekly reviews and quarterly performance evaluations Peer or stakeholder feedback surveys Use of KPIs in dashboards or performance tracking tools CSAT Scores: Client feedback collected post-implementation Required Qualifications 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, coordinator roles, or junior project work) Experience in software, SaaS, or IT environments is a plus Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Monday.com) Basic understanding of software development or implementation lifecycle Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Awareness of basic project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) Strong organizational and time-management abilities Clear and professional communication (verbal and written) Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn Detail-oriented and dependable Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Willingness to take direction and grow into more responsibility At this time, we are unable to consider candidates who require current or future sponsorship for employment authorization. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Our Culture At Bonterra, we’re innovating with a higher purpose: to increase giving to 3% of US GDP by 2033, creating $573 billion more in global impact every year.
