We help power the trailblazers, campaigners, and advocates fighting up and down the ticket for equality, racial justice, reproductive freedom, democracy, climate reform, and more— including the national Democratic committees and progressive organizations, thousands of Democratic campaigns, hundreds of labor unions, advocacy organizations, progressive and non-partisan PACs, and other organizations. About the Role This position, which will also be known as a Regional Training and Success Lead, is responsible for delivering high-quality, in-person trainings and live support that help Democratic campaigns, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations use NGP VAN tools effectively and confidently. Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities: Be on the Ground With Clients Serve as a trusted NGP VAN partner for clients during in-person events, trainings, and critical moments Lead in-person trainings and workshops for campaigns and organizations using NGP VAN Build real relationships with organizers, fundraisers, and campaign staff — not just email threads Represent NGP VAN professionally at conferences, summits, and client-hosted events Understand client goals and tailor trainings to their programmatic needs (organizing, fundraising, compliance, voter registration, mobilization, etc) Training Design & Curriculum Collaborate with Product, Support, and Client Success teams to develop and update training materials Customize curricula to reflect client use cases, election timelines, and organizing strategies Ensure trainings align with best practices in adult learning, accessibility, and inclusive facilitation Logistics & Execution Coordinate travel, scheduling, materials, and on-site logistics for trainings and events Prepare training environments, including databases, user access, and demo scenarios Document client interactions, training outcomes, and follow-ups in internal systems Feedback & Continuous Improvement Gather feedback from clients during and after trainings to assess effectiveness Identify recurring pain points, feature gaps, or training needs and share insights with internal teams Contribute to improving NGP VAN’s overall training strategy and client experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience supporting or working with unions, campaigns, or advocacy organizations. Proficiency with EveryAction, NGP, and organizing tools. Effective communicator able to navigate challenging conversations. Capable of managing multiple priorities with strong organizational skills. What Success Looks Like Clients leave trainings feeling confident and capable using NGP VAN tools In-person events and trainings run smoothly and receive strong client feedback Campaigns and organizations are better prepared for key moments like launches and GOTV Strong collaboration and communication across NGP VAN teams NGP VAN is seen as a trusted, on-the-ground partner—not just a software provider Qualifications (Required and Preferred): Required 2–5 years of experience in client services, training, organizing, or event-based roles 2-3 cycles of political experience Hands-on experience facilitating in-person trainings or workshops Strong public speaking and group facilitation skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Comfort with frequent travel and working evenings or weekends during campaign cycles Ability to build trust quickly and work effectively with diverse audiences under pressure Preferred Experience using NGP VAN or VAN in a campaign, nonprofit, or advocacy setting Background in political campaigns, nonprofit organizing, or progressive advocacy Experience supporting large-scale trainings, campaign launches, or GOTV efforts Familiarity with voter data, fundraising tools, or compliance-sensitive environments This position is a part of a bargaining union represented by CWA Local 1400, 2336, or 13000. If you require a reasonable accommodation during the application process, please submit a request. At its core, NGP VAN is so much more than a software company. We’re a trusted industry leader driven by a central mission: to help elect more Democrats and advance progressive causes. For over two decades, NGP VAN has served at the heart of the Democratic and progressive movement — powering more electoral victories than any other company in this space. We work with campaigns and causes up and down the ballot to do everything they need to achieve their goals. From voter and supporter outreach, volunteer recruitment and management, fundraising, advocacy, and more, our software helps elect changemakers at all levels of government and propel progressive policies nationwide. Most importantly, our team is personally invested in the future of our movement. As former campaign managers, candidates, organizers, and fundraisers, we’re driven by the desire to make our government more representative and effective, our policies more forward-thinking, and our world a better place.
