High school diploma or GED, BLS certification required, healthcare experience and EPIC/PACS experience preferred.

Job Summary: The Radiology Support Assistant will assist with the flow of imaging images and reports from all the modalities used for the care of each patient within the system. Essential Functions: Assists the technologists with the daily workflow of imaging patients. Verifies patient identification using two patient identifiers. Transports patients from other units and departments to the radiology department. Escorts patients to and from the waiting room to the appropriate department. Prints reports, makes CD's, and electronically share images as requested. Receives, imports, and logs outside images into PACS and Epic. Utilizes e-sharing image solution to expedite image transfers. Maintains appropriate tracking mechanisms for incoming and outgoing imaging records. Education: High School Degree or GED (required) Associate degree (preferred) Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required) Experience: EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred) Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) experience (preferred) Healthcare experience (preferred) Skills & Abilities: Demonstrates problem solving, active listening, time management, organization and adaptability skills. Possesses ability to provide a strong customer service via email communication and phone etiquette in a high stress environment. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite and radiology imaging anatomy.
