Job Overview The Vice President of Paving Sales is a senior leadership role focused exclusively on Paving Sales. This individual will lead all paving-related sales and marketing efforts nationwide, driving BoMetals’ growth in engineered joint systems, dowel baskets, and slab paving accessories. The VP will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to expand market share, secure DOT approvals, strengthen relationships with paving contractors and distributors, and foster partnerships with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). As a visible leader, this role requires deep industry expertise, proven sales and marketing leadership, and a commitment to BoMetals’ Higher Standard culture and core values. LOCATION: Preferred for applciants to currently reside in the Southeast with a focus on Southeastern sales. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership - Develop and implement a national paving sales and marketing strategy aligned with BoMetals’ 5-year plan (2026–2030). - Define annual revenue, margin, and specification win targets for Paving Sales. - Serve as the executive voice of BoMetals’ paving division in the marketplace. Sales Execution & Market Development - Expand adoption of BoMetals’ paving solutions in highway, airport, and industrial paving projects. - Lead DOT specification efforts, securing state-level approvals and positioning BoMetals as a trusted DOT-approved supplier. - Cultivate and expand relationships with paving contractors, airport authorities, and infrastructure owners. - Build strategic partnerships with DBEs to support federally and state-funded project participation. Customer & Partner Engagement - Paving Contractors: Develop strong relationships to secure product preference and project adoption. - Departments of Transportation (DOTs): Advocate for inclusion of BoMetals products in state and federal specifications. - Distributors: Partner with national and regional distributors (e.g., White Cap, CMC) to ensure product availability and promotion. - DBEs: Establish and sustain meaningful partnerships to expand market reach in public sector projects. Marketing & Brand Leadership - Direct paving-focused marketing campaigns, positioning BoMetals as the industry leader in engineered joint systems. - Oversee development of paving-specific technical content (CAD details, spec guides, white papers, and case studies). - Ensure strong industry presence at trade shows and associations (e.g., World of Concrete, ACPA, PCA). - Promote success stories and customer testimonials that reinforce BoMetals’ dependability and innovation. Team Leadership & Development - Recruit, mentor, and manage a Paving Product Specialist (planned Years 4–5 of staffing plan). - Provide coaching and technical guidance to Regional Factory Sales Representatives on paving solutions. - Collaborate with Customer Service, Marketing, and Technical Sales teams to deliver a unified paving strategy. Operational Excellence - Ensure full adoption of Sage 100 CRM for tracking paving-related opportunities, leads, and customer interactions (preferred experience). - Deliver quarterly Paving Sales performance reports to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, including forecasts and KPI tracking. - Leverage CRM analytics to identify trends, refine targets, and measure the impact of DOT and DBE partnerships. Performance Expectations - Achieve or exceed annual paving sales revenue and margin goals. - Secure 10+ new paving contractor relationships annually. - Establish and maintain at least 5 active DBE partnerships by 2028. - Position BoMetals as the #1 specified brand in engineered joint systems by 2030. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management preferred. - 10+ years of sales leadership experience in construction or manufacturing, with at least 5 years in paving, concrete accessories, or infrastructure products preferred. - Established network with DOT officials, paving contractors, distributors, and DBEs preferred. - Demonstrated success leading national sales initiatives and securing major project specifications preferred. - Strong marketing acumen with proven ability to build product-specific brand recognition preferred. - Experience with CRM systems (Sage 100 preferred); data-driven and metrics-oriented approach preferred.
