Role Ownership and Authority: This role owns day-to-day operations across BOH and FOH, including staffing, scheduling, production, inventory, budgeting, costing, and engagement. As Director, you will be empowered to make real-time decisions that protect product quality and the guest experience, while working closely with ownership to reach the company's long-term goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have the drive and business acumen to shape Bombshell into a scalable brand positioned for achievable growth. What Success Looks Like: Success in this role is measured through consistent execution, disciplined cost control, a team that performs with pride and incremental revenue growth. Key indicators include food and labor costs within targets, organized and repeatable SOPs, strong staff retention, consistent product quality, positive guest feedback, and a growing portfolio of in-store customers, social media followers, and off-site catering clients. Responsibilities: Business Growth - • Work with ownership on the formulation of a new account sales process. Take a direct role in identifying prospective business, acquiring new accounts, and fostering lasting customer relationships. • Lead and direct daily customer-facing activities ensuring a memorable guest experience at every turn. • Develop team members for varying roles that will support the productivity and growth of the company. • Track market trends to identify potential opportunities to expand or pivot business. • Explore opportunities for targeted product specials, thoughtful marketing initatives, and customer loyalty programs. • Develop a thorough customer communication strategy, inclusive of a monthly newsletter that engages our target audience, builds brand enthusiasm, and drives customer retention. • Improve on current tools and systems, as well as lead the development of additional support tools to ensure a streamlined and successful work environment (scheduling, invoice management, event checklists, training documentation, etc.). • Work closely with founders, bookkeeper and financial consultant to ensure business is organized and positioned for profitability and growth. Control food and payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability. BOH - • Ensure BOH operates efficiently, productively, and within set targets. Oversee production and staff scheduling to keep labor lean. • Track industry trends while maintaining strong menu discipline. Recommend changes only when they improve execution, consistency, margin, or guest experience and align with Bombshell’s core offerings. Collaborate with chef on designing recipes that keep creativity top-of-mind while still being cost conscious. • Work with BOH to maintain organized, up-to-date documentation of recipes, costs and inventory. Ensure team regularly updates and provides FOH and event team with an accurate allergen document that can be referenced with customers when necessary. • Develop, follow and enforce Standard Operating Procedures that result in improved productivity and highly motivated team members. Implement protocols that ensure regular equipment maintenance, daily cleaning and BOH sanitation. • Ensure production space is set-up in accordance with health code guidelines, including the filing/posting of all necessary documentation, permits and licenses. • Work with team to achieve the most cost effective ingredient sourcing. Establish strong working relationships with suppliers. Develop best practices to cut and control costs and minimize waste. FOH and Catering - • Supervise and support the FOH and events team. Publish bi-weekly schedules, interview prospective employees, trouble-shoot and coach in real time. • Develop and administer a training program for all customer-facing employees that focuses on Bombshell’s core values, high customer service standards, product quality and consistency, and employee happiness. • Refine and maintain opening and closing checklists, and ensure buy-in by all FOH team members. • Set the tone for professionalism, warmth and accountability. • Ensure proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of quality. • Serve customers alongside hourly employees. As a hands-on Director, you will support the FOH team in preparing menu items with professionalism along with an emphasis on creating photo-worthy treats. It is our belief that working WITH the team shows true leadership skills, provides first-hand knowledge of business operations, and offers real-time awareness of where improvements can be made. • Manage team performance, facilitate quarterly reviews, document employee violations, and take disciplinary action, when necessary, including termination of employment. • Deliver exceptional guest experiences and ensure team members do the same. • Assist in the planning of in-store special events to drive traffic, boost sales and engage the community. • Support all catering efforts, making sure production reflects BEOs and events are staffed appropriately for seamless, off-site activations. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and management within the hospitality industry. • Proven track record working with budgets, financial planning, and cost control. • Culinary experience strongly preferred. • Bachelor's degree a plus. • Independent but team oriented.
