Board Clerk / Assistant to CEO Job Location: Rocklin, California Job Type: Temporary Pay Rate: $39.56-$59.00/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm Description of Position: Are you an organized, detail-organized professional who thrives in a collaborative environment? We are seeking a Board Clerk / Assistant to CEO to provide high-level administrative and board support for our client, a respected public agency. This role is ideal for someone who is a strong communicator, works well with others, and enjoys managing complex schedules and sensitive information. Ideal candidate is a true team player who fosters positive working relationships across all levels of the organization as well as an excellent communicator, skilled at scheduling meetings, coordinating with board members, and ensuring clear and timely communication. Job Responsibilities: • Prepare, organize, and distribute Board and committee agendas, following all Brown Act posting requirements • Attend Board and committee meetings, record proceedings, and prepare accurate meeting minutes • Perform a wide range of confidential administrative duties for the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and senior staff • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for executive staff and board members • Screen calls, visitors, and correspondence; respond to inquires and resolve issues professionally • Research, compile, and analyze data for reports, special projects, and presentations • Participate in budget preparation, track, expenditures, and assist with procurement of materials and supplies • Supervise and review the work of administrative support staff; assist in training and performance management • Serve as the Filing Officer for the Fair Political Practices Commission • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and applicable laws • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, board members, and the public Description of Company: You will be supporting a government agency in a city in Placer County. Experience Required: • Associate's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Minimum 4 years of administrative experience supporting management-level staff, preferably within a public agency • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and standard office equipment • Ability to manage multiple priorities,, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality • Familiarity with Brown Act requirements preferred Similar Position: Executive Assistant / Clerk of the Board Company Secretary Chief of Staff Executive Business Administrator Bolt Staffing is an equal opportunity employer.
