IMPACT ANALYST ABOUT BOLDLY GO PHILANTHROPY We are a fast-growing, boutique, philanthropic advisory and execution firm that helps funders achieve outsized impact through their philanthropic giving. See more about Boldly Go here. IMPACT ANALYST We are creating a dynamic team and a vibrant team culture grounded in our values and guided by our pledge on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We are searching for a highly motivated and process-oriented person who is excited to help us build our firm’s infrastructure and support extraordinary philanthropists with grants management to tackle major problems and inequities. RESPONSIBILITIES You will support client project teams and firm development intiatives. The scope of work could include the following: • Conduct and synthesize web-based and interview-based research in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner and translate findings into creative insights; • Assist with development of discussion guides and conduct information-gathering interviews with clients and stakeholders; • Join client team meetings for brainstorming, problem-solving, and deliverable development; • Translate findings into creative, data-based insights to inform client recommendations; • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for business development meetings and collateral purposes. • Assist with research and draft business development proposals; • Help to build templates, tools, and systems for the support of philanthropist clients; DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU? • 2- 4 years of relevant work experience (e.g., conducting research and data analysis to develop structured and compelling strategic recommendations) • Passion for social change, and clear interest in working in the social impact sector • Strong writing skills and ability to convey a point of view in a concise and structured way • Bachelor’s degree required; demonstration of analytical and quantitative coursework strongly preferred • Experience with primary and secondary research; experience gathering data including perspectives of people more directly impacted by a particular social issue • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate findings into clear and meaningful recommendations; experience considering how solutions may impact a range of stakeholders, including commonly marginalized communities • Experience considering and/or applying equity and inclusion principles (e.g. disaggregating data, addressing disparities between populations, identifying targeted strategies based on varying assets/needs, and/or designing culturally appropriate interview guides, etc.) • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to create compelling slides and charts/graphs preferred. • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
