OverviewPublic Relations Specialist II to join our Digital PR Team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Public Relations, the Digital PR Specialist executes data-driven PR campaigns to power the success of BOLD’s multiple B2C brands in the US and internationally. This role requires experience working with reporters to secure press coverage on behalf of companies, as well as a deep understanding of the US media landscape, PR trends and best practices.What you’ll doWork closely with the Sr. Director of Public Relations and Sr. Manager of Public Relations to support the health and performance of BOLD’s overall PR programDirect the PR content calendar for specific brands, focusing on growing earned media winsWrite, edit, and pitch press releases and other content to external audiences; ghostwrite for spokesperson when necessaryDevelop and foster relationships with key reporters to support earned media coverage; respond to inbound press inquiries and help coordinate media interviewsBuild BOLD brands’ reputations as key players in the resume and career advice spaceCollaborate across PR, content, social media, and career experts to generate ideas and identify opportunities to innovate and engage target audiencesDraft internally-run surveys and analyze findings to share with the pressWhat you’ll need5+ years of media relations experience, with a proven track record of pitching content to the press and working with reportersStrong track record of pitching and securing press coverageBachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, or related fieldExperience translating data from surveys into meaningful insights for external audiencesKnowledge of CISION or other PR software platformsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentWhat’s good to haveBackground in PR agency workExisting relationships with reporters at national publications and top outlets focused on business and career topics (e.g., CNBC, Forbes, WSJ, NYT, Business Insider)Understanding of job search, career, and job market trendsFamiliarity with SEO best practicesExperience running internal surveys to collect, analyze, and report dataBenefitsCompetitive salaryBi-annual bonus401(k) with matchEquity in companyFlexible spending accounts (health, dependent care)Internet and home office reimbursementMedical, dental, and vision insurance; life & long-term disability insurance; mental health resourcesWellness reimbursement; pet insurance (optional)Flexible Time AwayFlexible PTOSick time policyObserved holidaysSalary & EligibilityStarting pay range: $80,000—$97,000 USDPay Transparency: Individual pay is based on location, transferable skills, experience, and other factors.
